Crafting & Stitching Notes

A few general tips that apply across most of our patterns.

Direct PDF Downloads

Every pattern is a print-ready chart with 10×10 bold grid lines, center arrows, DMC floss codes, and a full color key.

Floss Strands Guide

Use 2 strands of DMC embroidery floss for 14-count and 16-count Aida cloth. For backstitching, use 1 strand.

Centering Your Work

Fold your Aida cloth in half horizontally, then vertically. The center point matches the arrow markers on the downloadable PDF charts.

Stitching Essentials

  • Cut thread lengths to approx. 18 inches (45cm) to prevent knotting.
  • Separate individual strands from the 6-strand DMC skein.
  • Always cross your top stitches in the same direction for a smooth, uniform texture.
  • Do not tie knots on the back; weave loose tails under existing stitches.
